Steady Shot: Your Reliable Injection Aid
Steady Shot, designed by a Type 1 diabetic, is made to bring extra stability and control to your insulin injections. Available in both Large and Small sizes, it’s compatible with 4mm, 5mm, and 6mm pen needles (see compatibility chart below). Choose the size that best fits your preferred injection site.
What makes Steady Shot unique is its ability to stabilize pen needles, making injections smoother and more comfortable—especially for larger doses. It supports effective site rotation, whether you're injecting into your arms, thighs, abdomen, back, or buttocks. Proper site rotation is essential for maintaining optimal insulin absorption and reducing the risk of lipohypertrophy.
If you’re new to injecting or experiencing injection fatigue, Steady Shot offers a practical, reusable solution that fits seamlessly into your daily routine.
How to Use Steady Shot:
- Attach Steady Shot – Remove the outer pen needle cap and securely attach Steady Shot to the pen needle while keeping the inner cap on. Once attached, remove the inner cap to expose the needle.
- Prepare Your Injection Site – Choose an injection site (arms, thighs, abdomen, back, etc.), ensuring there's enough fatty tissue and that it's a new site to prevent overuse.
- Position Steady Shot – Align Steady Shot correctly based on the instructions, ensuring proper positioning for the chosen injection site.
- Insert the Needle – Press firmly, making sure the needle is fully inserted into the fatty tissue for accurate medication delivery.
- Inject Medication – While the needle is in place, administer the medication. Ensure the entire dose is delivered before removing the needle.
- Remove the Needle – Carefully withdraw the needle from the injection site and detach Steady Shot for future use.
- Dispose of the Needle – Recap the pen needle and dispose of it safely in a sharps container.
Always consult with your healthcare provider to ensure Steady Shot is right for you.

This was purchased for my sister to have a backup in her travel bag. It's too bad you don't sell them in sets of two and three or four. This is been a marvelous tool for my sister. She heard about it on a program for entrepreneurs in Milwaukee. Since using this tool the diabetes is becoming more under control as she is able to use it in other places on her body that she could not before. She got such pain from doing her shot in her stomach all the time that she would skip doses because of the pain and now due to consistent shots the diabetes is more under control. This is a great tool and every Dr. Who Scripts insulin should make sure to introduce this tool.
I like it it helps no bruising when I use it after the shot the only thing I would suggest is you make it so they could stay on the PIN after you take the needle out of the pen so you could use it next time and know where it is you wouldn't have to store it separately but a great device I am handicapped a paraplegic and I only have the use of one hand makes giving the shot excellent though thank you for inventing it
Sorry, I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but when I do I’ll certainly give you a shout out. Saw your product on Pitch It. Great idea!
